Pat Hughes, VP of IT Assessments: Hi, my name is Pat Hughes. I’m the Vice President of IT Assessments at ITS. For 2025, my in is going to be adding a security layer. Like, a low-stakes proctoring solution or lockdown browser for lower-stakes exams is going to be very in. And this is due to challenges with cheating using AI models, basically reducing the value of completely unproctored low-stakes assessments. So, that’s going to be my out for 2025.

Sandy Hogg, Manager of Business Development: Hi, I’m Sandy Hogg, Manager of Business Development at ITS. My in for 2025 is integrated holistic assessment solutions. So, in considering changes to your assessment system, it’s essential to view the entire ecosystem. Integrated solutions like test delivery and item banking often proved to be greater than the sum of their parts, bringing efficiencies, boosting security, and opening the door for innovation. So, with that said, my out for 2025 is fragmented tools that leave you piecing things together.

Ryan Howard, Director of Learning & Assessments: Hi, I’m Ryan Howard, Director of Learning and Assessments at ITS. My in for 2025 is at home continuous recertification assessments. With adaptive longitudinal assessments delivered on mobile devices, we are ensuring that candidates maintain their certifications by periodically assessing them in areas that they practice in their day-to-day professions. By identifying knowledge gaps and providing learning material along the way, we promote lifelong learning through assessment as a result. While I believe testing centers have a role for initial certification, my out for 2025 is having candidates travel to testing centers to take fixed-form examinations for recertification.

Amanda Crowley, Director of Marketing: Hi, I am Amanda Crowley, Director of Marketing. My ins for 2025 are micro-credentials. I feel like in people’s careers nowadays, they are niching down, they’re really into specializing to what they’re doing and credentialing will match that. And then my outs for 2025 is static test delivery. I think adaptive is making a comeback. Custom delivery is the way to go!

Sara Cowling, Program Manager: Hi, my name is Sara Cowling, Program Manager at ITS. My in for 2025 is exam security in the form of AI-powered cheating detection, behavioral analytics for fraud detection, and remote proctoring with biometric verification. AI and biometric tools help to ensure the integrity of an exam in a virtual environment, ensuring assessments are conducted fairly even when candidates are not physically present. Behavioral analytics utilizes data on candidates’ actions, such as their keystrokes, response times, and gaze patterns, to identify abnormal behavior. This can help flag potential cheating incidents and fraud during exams. These changes in exam-related security reflect the growing need for more sophisticated, reliable, and efficient methods to safeguard assessments in an increasingly digital and remote environment. My out for 2025 is traditional password-based security, unsecured exam platforms, and manual identity verification.

Megan Cannon, Business Development Rep.: Hi, I’m Megan Cannon, and I’m a Business Development Rep here at ITS. My in for 2025 is curiosity, lead with curiosity in your work and in your conversations. Ask the tough questions of your coworkers and your vendor partners to ensure that you’re in alignment. My out for 2025 is automation that lacks personalization. Generalization is not useful. Personalization is, we can still personalize at scale. Sure, generative AI can help us with that, but we are in control and we’re more creative as to how to appeal to our audience.

Heather Rybacki, Senior Product Manager: Hi, my name is Heather Rybacki. I’m a Senior Product Manager at ITS. So, my in for 2025 is authentic assessment. So more traditional assessments tend to focus on rote memorization, whereas authentic assessment uses real world scenarios that allow candidates to really demonstrate their knowledge and skills in a more authentic way. So, this might be through demonstrations, presentations, role-playing scenarios, simulations, live-in-the-app style assessments, or really anything that reflects that real-world context. So, there’s definitely a place for traditional assessment, but when your assessment goal, so what you’re trying to measure, when that requires a more realistic and meaningful evaluation of an individual’s strength, I see traditional assessment kind of stepping aside to make way for more authentic assessments in 2025.

Jeffrey Spranza, Director of Product Management: Hi, I’m Jeffrey Spranza, Director of Product Management at ITS. Artificial intelligence is one of the most exciting tools we have today, and it’s transforming how we approach work. Historically, AI o is misunderstood, seen as risky, a last resort, and a tool only for experts. That mindset, it’s out. Instead, what’s in is fully integrating AI into our daily workflows. Whether it’s asking smarter questions, brainstorming solutions, or using AI feedback to refine your work. AI has evolved into a creative and productivity partner at ITS. We’re not just using AI; we’re helping you harness its potential to work more efficiently, think creatively, and achieve better results. AI is no longer optional. It’s the key to unlocking what’s next. Thanks for watching! At ITS, we’re committed to driving innovation while staying focused on what really matters—helping individuals demonstrate their abilities and improve their lives through meaningful assessments.
